Management control

On-site Management control is essential to insure that the objectives and possible deadlines stated in the management plan are met. Besides other factors, the management of a plantation can determine if a project will be successful or will fail. The management effects directly the growth of the plantation, making it of great importance that the management is executed in a correct manner and is adjusted when needed.

DHForest offers the service of on-site control, and our team will literally be ON SITE. Where others stay near the roads, we will enter the stands and evaluate the maintenance objectively, with or without the company of local employees.

The report will be made in such a way that it can serve as a discussions platform between the project manager and his (her) field staff.

These observations are made from the point of a professional, sylvicultural view, in combination with the objectives set with our client. The ideas and suggestions are made by a practical team of professionals, who rely on many years of experience.

Besides the detailed data presented in our reports, many maps, tables and figures support our argumentation, in order to present a short but crystal clear report. Along with the conventional reports, DHForest offers to present the reports on the web as well in an interactive way. To know more about this service, please click here.

Along with the standard chapters of a report such as introduction, summary, conclusions, etc. a management control report elaborated by DHForest consists of the following:

Planning

If applicable, the planning of the controlled period is presented to support any remarks made by DHForest in the report.

Observations

Sorted by maintenance activity, DHForest presents the observations that are noted in the field. Besides the maintenance activities, other observations made are noted as well, as for example possible plaques, infrastructure problems, organizational problems, or any other matter of importance.

Recommendations

Based on the positive or negative observations made during our visits, our recommendations are elaborated. These recommendations are made from DHForests professional point of view and are always intended in the best interest of the project.
