DHForest produces all her maps in the Geographical Information System (GIS), Mapinfo Professional

Digital mapping has got a lot of advantages, below a few of these advantages:

Satellite imagery or aerial photo's can be combined with the drawn maps.
Combined with the Global positioning System (GPS) the area of the project and it's sub divisions can be calculated accurately and fast.
Visual presentation of data is easy through links between maps and project data.
Any changes in the project content can be adapted fast.
The presentation in general of the maps is of high quality in any scale and size.

DHForest is skilled in GPS as well. We use GPS on a regularly basis. Pinpointing our inventory plots, measuring project changes and development of roads and drainage canals are just a few examples of GPS supported actions, facilitating control, development and assuring accuracy.
